Registered Dietitian Hannah Stenger, RD
Hannah received her Master’s degree in Nutrition from UMass Amherst and is a graduate of the UMass Amherst dietetic internship. She now works as dietitian with Pyramid Nutrition Services in Springfield, counseling clients of all age groups and consulting with adult and geriatric patients in rehab and long term care facilities. She also works as an inpatient dietitian at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton where she provides medical nutrition therapy, counseling, and education to patients who struggle with diabetes, heart disease, IBS, cancer, and other illnesses.
Hannah’s favorite part about being a dietitian is being able to connect with patients and clients. Our relationship with food can often be a reflection of our emotions and current life struggles. Hannah works to help her clients uncover whatever barriers are preventing them from reaching their nutrition goals. Often our crazy schedules, work/family/life stress, lack of support, and bad experiences with “diets” in the past can get in the way of us having a balanced relationship with food. Or simply we haven’t been given the tools and guidance to shop, cook, or choose food with skill and mindfulness.
Hannah will take the time to understand your unique struggles and nutrition goals, guide you away from the multitude of conflicting nutrition “fads,” and help you cultivate a way of eating that works for you.
